Hi, I have a problem to connect my XDS510PP to my eZdsp F2812 board. The XDS510PP led does not turn on. Consequently, I think it does not work due to a lack of power. I have the XDS510PP connected to the eZdsp, 5V for the PD pin on the 14pins JTAG connector. Do I need any driver ? I checked in SDConfig the connection but there is nothing. Do I need to configure it in CCS setup before ? Thanks in advance for any help.

Are you providing a separate and dedicated Vcc and Gnd for the ezDSP board? While they may exist, I haven't seen an emulator or parallel port programmer that was capable of providing enough power through the paralell port.

I will try with a TMS320F2812 on an electronic board, and I will let you know whether it works or not.

If I am interpreting what you are saying correctly, it sounds as if your emulator isn't working. This might be a good candidate for TI tech support, especially if you are using a new computer since you purchased the PP emulator.

Hi Franck, I had the same configuration and same problem. Make sure you have the latest drivers from Spectrum Digital, it should then work. The drivers are located at http://emulators.spectrumdigital.com/c2000/, use the appropriate release for your code composer studio version. (if 2.20, use Driver Release 2.20.03 [07-Jan-2004], if 2.21, use Driver Release 2.21.03 [31-May-2005]). It has worked for me. XDS510PP works fine with the parallel port on-board JTAG of the eZdsp. I hope this solves the issue for you also and that I'm not to late with the answer. :o) Frank
