I'm getting ready to order R Lyons book and Amazon is offering a deal if I buy a second title along with it. The second title is "Digital Signal Processing - A Practical Guide for Engineers and Scientists" by Steven W Smith. How is this second book? Does it compliment the Lyons book well?

Lyons book is very good though. --DF

I have both books, and I find Smith's occasionally useful. They are aimed at approximately the same level audience, and another perspective is always good. You can read Smith's book at http://www.dspguide.com. I bought my copy when I got tired of reading it on line. I don't expect this to be any different. I'm hoping some folks here have the second title so they can offer pro or con recommendations on it.

I think it compliments my book pretty darned well. If you buy a copy of my book, please send me an E-mail and I'll send you the errata. Good Luck & Regards, [-Rick-]

My other coding projects are in a good place now, so it's time to dig in! A few guitar goodies will round it out nicely :-)
