Hello Friends-- Note: I chose not to name the subject- "Lebanese/Hizbollah -Israel & News Media coverage" in an effort to _not_ help flame the thread. If you could keep it that way it would be great. I got this link today on a skynews interview on Lebanse/Hizbollah's war against Israel. Its an interview of an amzingly aritculate British MP-Galloway. http://news.sky.com/skynews/video/videoplayer/0,,31200-galloway_060806,00.html Just wanted to know some of your thoughts on this interview and the subject of the interview.Iam particularly interested in knowing how right is Galloway-chillingly or hardly? It is amazing to see the conviction in his voice and its puzzling how the words come out tumbling like it were always destined to. It was so powerful and easy, that I almost want to buy every word of his. Should I? Thanks for taking precious time to comment on this vexing topic. --Bhooshan

> >Hello Friends--.. On googling for some background on George Halloway,I found lot of interesting stuff, including his own website(georgehalloway.com). Iam begining to get a better feel of where he comes and what his biases are a trifle better now.But thats not to say I was any less impressed with that interview still. Here are 3 webpages of interest on him: 1] The US Senate Interview Transcript: Transcript: http://www.commondreams.org/views05/0517-35.htm Video: http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article8866.htm 2] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Galloway#Pakistani_activities 3] http://www.georgegalloway.com/ --Bhooshan

I believe galloway was implicated as essentially being on Saddam's payroll pre-invasion and as such I'd very much doubt anyththing he had to say about anything. -Clark "bhooshaniyer" <bhooshaniyer@gmail.com> wrote in message news:qM2dnfF739YZrErZnZ2dnUVZ_tWdnZ2d@giganews.com...> > Hello Friends-- > > Note: I chose not to name the subject- "Lebanese/Hizbollah -Israel & News > Media coverage" in an effort to _not_ help flame the thread. As I read it, no challenge was made to the Iraqi papers, just that the newspaper was overzealous in its reporting. I wonder the result if the same standard were applied to Dan Rather reporting Bush's NG service. At any rate, if folks want to take advice on geopolitics from a Big Brother contest, have at it. I read that the courts ruled that the Daily Telegraph libelled George 'Gorgeous' Galloway by reporting the contents of the Iraqi papers and then _saying_they_were_true_. Merely repoting the contents in a neutral way would not have been libelous. So, the high court and the appeal court judgements mean there was no evidence presented to them to prove in the balance of probabilities that the papers were true. It seems that the only money Galloway made from oil-for-food was by suing people who said he made money from oil-for-food!> > At any rate, if folks want to take advice on geopolitics from a BigBrother> contest, have at it. >Fair point!
