Possible to use Blackfin EZ-kit as generic JTAG-emulator?

I have an EZ-Kit lite for the BF533 cpu. It connects to the PC through
an undocumented USB interface, which most certainly uses JTAG to the
cpu.
Could it be so that this USB-interface could connect to an "outside"
system, i.e. not the on-board Blackfin?
The EZ-kit has a JTAG-connector and the documentation says that if
connected the USB-interface is disconnected. Probably it is more or
less connected in parallell to the cpu then.

Since there exists a USB-emulator from Analog, it could be the same
hardware recycled on the EZ-kit.

Anybody has any experiences with this?
