Doubt about autocorrelation

Started by psoto October 12, 2006
Hi, I have real data from a radar like range and azimuth, and I want to
find the Center of Mass Correlation that it is correlation process to
perform a Plot Extraction sometimes called Hit processing. I found this in
the page
http://www.radartutorial.eu/10.processing/sp13.en.html
but I don't know if I have to perform a correlation or autocorrelation for
this data.

thanks a lot.

My reading of the page is that a correlation operation is not required for the
"Center of Mass Correlation" so thats not a problem. It looks like for each
azimuth, the centers of the range cells that have detections are averaged.
Then the averaged range values from the azimuths are averaged to give the
location of the target.
