Theoretical BER

Hi guys,

I need to fing plots (or equations) for the theoretical BER for some error
correction codes: Reed-Solomon, Turbo Codes, Viterbi, CRC-8.

Could someone please point me out where can I find this.

Hi,
         Exact theoretical expression for error correction codes is not
possible. Because for that you need to know the weight specturm of the
code.  It is still an active research topic.  One way you can solve
that problem is giving union bound (upper, sometimes lower).

If you have Matlab Comms Toolbox, check out the 'bertool' utility which
has some of this.

There is a good set of plots in a book that I can't remember the title
of (it's at work now). The book is white with a colorful pyramid on the
cover, and one of the authors is either W. Lindsey or M. Simon.
