Hi,

Is it possible for a LMS equalizer in multipath environment to achieve
better BER performance as compared to matched filter in AWGN channel?

Only if the total multipath energy is higher then that in the AWGN case. VLV

If by "AWGN channel' the OP meant "channel without multipath," I disagree. The equalizer *might* perform _as well_ as the matched filter, but not better. -- % Randy Yates % "Watching all the days go by... %% Fuquay-Varina, NC % Who are you and who am I?" %%% 919-577-9882 % 'Mission (A World Record)', %%%% <yates@ieee.org> % *A New World Record*, ELO http://home.earthlink.net/~yatescr
