You need a "Jerven Fjellduk" ("wolverine mountain shelter"): https://jerven.secure.flexiweb.no/accounts/433372/File/9153.pdf It's a 1-man thermo bag, which keeps you warm and dry. Some people sleep outside in it, using it as a replacement for a tent; I merely keep it in my car as an emergency backup when I drive in the countryside in winter. I don't know if it is available outside Norway, though. Rune

The item names sound rather English. Is that characteristic of Norwegian marketing, or they likely imported? I don't know where http://tinyurl.com/ycda2e is made, but it's available in the US. Sadly, anglified marketing names and lingo in general is very characteristical for Norway. Those shelters are produced in Norway.

It seems to be a regular sleeping bag, even if intended for extreme use. The "wolverines" are something quite unique. They started out as mere rain/wind shelters, rainwear optimized for hunters sitting on post, with camouflage and all, like the "regular" variant. After a while, they became padded for thermal insulation. Since then, the variations flourished. These days the more extreme variants use the same basic unit as a pocho, sleeping bag and tent, only with some accessories changing between uses. The simpler variants are really useful. On one of my mountain hikes I walked on for 5 or 6 km after I *knew* I had developed blisters that needed attending, before I found sufficient shelter for the wind to sit down and take care of my feet. That's the trip that made me buy my "wolverine". Rune
