problem running g21 c-compiler under windows 2000

Started by Jens Peter Jacobsen June 1, 2004
When running the g21 c-compiler for the ADSP-21xx, The dos window
chrashes with the following error pop-up:

MS-DOS Prompt
X#=0C, CS=019F IP=00001856. The NTVDM CPU has encountered an unhandled
exception. Choose 'Close to terminate the application.

It used to work fine for a long time, but after installing Microsoft
security patches....

Has anyone else this problem, and a solution ?

/Jens

Yup, Microsoft has continuing legacy compatibility issues. The solution is to install Linux and run the ADI tools in DOSemu, Wine, or CrossoverOffice: http://www.aerospacesoftware.com http://www.aerospacesoftware.com/contents.htm http://www.aerospacesoftware.com/howto_dosemu.htm Linux is a veritable Rosetta Stone of computer systems...
