Hi People, I intend to design a DA converter by using the IC DSD1796, but i have some problems with them.I do not know if i can connect DGND with AGND or not. With this IC, if not use a signal controller, can it run? If it does not need a controller, what can i connect control pin? I use PCM mode. Did anyone work with this IC, Please make me clearly, I am looking hearing from everyone soon, Him Lam

Do you have the application notes and data sheet? Denon specified the part and Burr-Brown makes it. In any case, I'd need to study the data sheet, ans I don't have it. hi Jerry, I read datasheet, but i am ashamed of myself because i do not understand it clearly, I did not use english to communicate in my country, therefor i sometimes know some things unclearly. If i do not use a control signals, can IC work? please tell me with my stupid question. Him Lam ----------------------- No ask, no understand

I'm sorry about your problem with English, but we can try to work around it. You actually do very well when you can choose the words. Understanding the words other people use must be more difficult. I know it is for me. Jerry -- Engineering is the art of making what you want from things you can get. ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯

hi, Here is the link to download datasheet http://www.alldatasheet.com/datasheet-pdf/pdf/85355/TI/DSD1796.html you can use any words you can. I can undersatnd them. I do only not understand some electronic terms in datasheet. You can clarify to me the part default value of this IC. I need information from this part. Thank for supporting, Him Lam

Jerry Avins wrote:> Himlam8484 wrote: >> hi, >> >> Here is the link to download datasheet... Himlam, There are 53 pages. I can give you some quick answers. DGND and AGND are the grounds for the digital and analog portions of the chip circuitry. They need to be connected together somewhere, but to minimize noise in the audio, they should be connected only at one point and there should be no signal or power return paths in the connection. If by signal controller, you mean some device that can send commands via an SPI serial link, then a signal controller is needed. I'm sure you have more questions. If you ask in detail, I'll try to find the answers. There is a thing i want to ask you that if i do not need to send commands via serial port, will not i use a control system? with this case, can IC work ? Him Lam
