My 2 cents : If there are pretty important winds, and consider the
flatness of the surroundings it wouldn't be surprising, then I guess
that the air flowing over the ground will naturally follow the
depression and so helicopters and anything flying that would approach
the whole would "fall in". I tried to make a drawing on a flash sketch
site but instead of enabling me to share my drawing with a URL all I
got was a sketch of a flower by someone else :-/
