ADSP_BF538_Query

Started by Nutty July 18, 2007
Hello to all,

I m working on the ADSP-BF538. As a part of project i would like to write
the boot up code for our hardware board which is having the ADSP BF 538
processor. I have gone through the hardware manual of same DSP. In that
they have mentioned 4 different booting methods. And they have mentioned
about the reset vector and mentioned that "the reset vector is determined
by processor system.
Our project device is battery operated telemetry system. So we r looking
for very less power consumption.
Could any one please let me know which booting method is suitable, like
what is the advantage of each method?
Also i would like to know abt the reset vector? What is use of it? For the
boot up code it is required to write code for the reset vector?

May be i have asked very simple or irrelevant question. Sorry for that.
Please guide me. Looking forward for ur valuable guidance.

Thanks in advance.
Nutty.

The appropriate boot method depends on the application hardware. The most commonly used configuration is booting from the serial flash.
