Hello Dsp Guru's,

I am here now. One more classes and I will Dsp Guru like you. I have
many classes and am here to help you.

For my last project I need MATHLAB code to place names on faces in my
class. Hoever has such a code, please send to me with good GUI. I
think it can be simple code, because we are all vary different to look
at, not like white people.

Many thanks for the help. It will be returned many time over. I can
give answers to your doubts.

I know the word trawling. Iam sorry. What I mean is most of the pictures in magazines show the white ladies as yellow hair and very small. Very beutiful, but much the same. Most of men handsome, but much the same. These people are not here, so I cannot get pictures of many who look different. Please help with project, and I will help much in return. Instructor say working with others is O-K. Regards, Kamar

Hi rutiger, Over the years I've been saving copies of any truly wierd posts that I see here on comp.dsp. DSPGURU's post is definitely a "keeper". RBJ thinks that DSPGURU's post is a hoax. I'm not so sure because a "hoax" post would be more well-written. Ah, but who knows? DSPGURU's wisecrack that white people all look the same was kinda neat. Too bad it's not true. I'd much rather look like a 30-year old Paul Newman (the actor) than the way I look. As far as putting names on pictures, I suggest DSPGURU use an ink pen. In any case, we can rest easier knowing that DSPGURU is "here now." See Ya', [-Rick-]
Now that since DSP GURU is here better way to test if he is real
or hoax is by means of asking DSP GURU some question on DSP and
by seeing the response to it.

Maybe Rick, Steve and Robert can initiate the process. This is
a unique chance to get all your queries solved, even the unsolved
ones. Apart from the strange entries to forum if Rick is also
collecting all the unsolved mysteries then we should make use
of this breakthrough opportuinity. Also if some DSP GURU's
on the forum are planning to take a break, this is a nice chance
as we have one-in-place-of-multiple-dsp-gurus replacement offer.

I thought it was funny, but your post did have many of the characteristics of someone making a joke.

If the problem you're describing is automatically detecting a face and mathing it to a known name, that's a quite difficult task. I'm also not sure what you'd learn by using someone else's code. Eric Jacobsen Minister of Algorithms Abineau Communications http://www.ericjacobsen.org

Brilliant! At last a chance to resolve one of those really awkward conundrums. I used to work with MUSIC-like methods a few years back. One of the main reasons - no, *the* reason - why I lost faith in those sorts of methods was that they all require the system designer to *know* at design time the exact properties of the worst-case signal the system will ever measure, or the system will unconditionally break totally down. It is just not enough to "assume" or "blieve" what the worst case signal will be; one must *know*, in order to design the system to stand up to it. And of course, one must know all this at *design* time. This is the diabolic detail that got the better of me, so I all but stopped using those sorts of methods. How would you aqcuire such knowledge on behalf of the system designer, without resorting to assumtions and beliefs? Rune

Excellent! Can you please show me, then, a computationally efficient algorithm to factor products of large prime numbers? While we're on the subject, how about an algorithm that returns the nth prime number? E.g., phi(1) = 2, phi(2) = 3, phi(3) = 5, phi(4) = 7, etc.? -- % Randy Yates % "...the answer lies within your soul %% Fuquay-Varina, NC % 'cause no one knows which side %%% 919-577-9882 % the coin will fall." %%%% <yates@ieee.org> % 'Big Wheels', *Out of the Blue*, ELO http://www.digitalsignallabs.com
