i am doing CFO in STBC-OFDM as my M.Tech project.....I am not
avaliable to find how to estimate frequency offset at receiver....I am
using MATLAB......Please help me it is urgent for my project.....

Carrier Frequency Offset estimation in OFDM is typically done using special preamble symbols. One approach is to repeat a fixed preamble symbol twice and observe the phase rotation from the first to the second symbol. Have you searched IEEE or looked at some standards? John

Typically, in OFDM specifications, for doing the initial estimate of frequency offset, there will be multiple repetitions of the same symbol send as preamble. By estimating phase growth from one symbol to another, one can get a good initial estimate of the frequency offset. Maybe you can have a look at the following post: http://www.dsplog.com/2008/03/03/frequency-offset-estimation-using-80211a-short-preamble/ Further, there will be residual errors following this estimate. This may be tracked using the pilots provided in each data symbol. Thanks, Krishna ~ blogs @ http://www.dsplog.com
