Hi,
I'm working on a lecture about "matched filters". Now I'm looking for
Informations and Web Sites.
Any Information would be very helpful for me.

Are you trying to lecture on a subject you don't understand, or are you an expert looking for some material to cut down the time to develop presentation material for a lecture? It kinda sounds the the former. I've had the misfortune to attend one or two lectures like that. :-) Steve

I wouldn't call it a *mis*fortune if you only experienced a mere couple of that sort of lectures... Rune
Hi Steve,

unfortunately it is a subject I don't understand! But it is also very helpful to
get some lecture material to cut down the time to develop...
Thanks a lot for your help.

Google with "matched filter .ppt" that way lecture presentations pop right up. Fred

Good suggestion Fred. To cut down the mass of hits even more use "filetype:ppt" to only match ".ppt" as an extension of the searched file. It removes hits from .ppt files in bibliographies and reference lists. 'matched filter .ppt' gives 182,000 hits. 'matched filter filetype:ppt' gives 2,120 hits. Dale B. Dalrymple

and 'matched.filter filetype:ppt' homes in even more. In fact, if we work at it for a little while, we can probably bypass the need for anyone to have any clue about anything at all, and simply present solutions. Its sooooo much more efficient not to have any understanding. :-) Steve

Steve Yes it does, to 1050. Closely combining more terms would cut it down more, with the risk of missing similar forms that could be just as useful or more useful, unless you have perfect knowledge of the search term (and why would you be asking here if you did?). I'm sorry that our comments on search techniques have been unable to dispel the bitter traces of your past exposures to the clueless :-) I believe that understanding comes not from how much manure you have shoveled but from what you have achieved with the gems you have found beneath. So what if we can only help with the shoveling? We can at least hope that it will leave the searchers more time with the gems. Dale B. Dalrymple
