Good Goin' Randy Yates

Started by Rick Lyons May 13, 2008
Hi Guys,
While surfin' the net I ran across the
website of the "DSP Design Line" folks that,
among other things, publish DSP whitepapers
on the Internet. Well, they displayed a list
of their "Most Popular Technical Papers" and
our own Randy Yates' papers were list as the
#1 & #2 papers! The web page is at:

http://www.dspdesignline.com/learning/techpaper/most_popular/

Good Goin' Randy!

(By the way, our own Steven W. Smith also
"made the list".)

Congratz! FYI,I read your paper on fixed point programming way before I came across you in this forum. This was possibly in 2002. Iam not surprised by the rating as I know for sure your papers are well indexed on google searches. --Bhooshan Ps: looks like you have been to blore recently...would have loved to catch up!

Thank you, Bhooshan.

Yes Bhooshan, it would be nice to meet you next time we visit. We're not sure when that will be - Freeda's family will be visiting here in August. -- % Randy Yates % "So now it's getting late, %% Fuquay-Varina, NC % and those who hesitate %%% 919-577-9882 % got no one..." %%%% <yates@ieee.org> % 'Waterfall', *Face The Music*, ELO http://www.digitalsignallabs.com
Randy,

Is there a particular LaTeX template (style guide, don't know the
correct TeX term) that you use?

Thanks

Hi Chris, Yes - my own. It's not really documented, and I'd rather not give it out. However, the folks at comp.text.tex are very helpful on LaTeX questions; you might try there if you have a specific question. -- % Randy Yates % "Midnight, on the water... %% Fuquay-Varina, NC % I saw... the ocean's daughter." %%% 919-577-9882 % 'Can't Get It Out Of My Head' %%%% <yates@ieee.org> % *El Dorado*, Electric Light Orchestra http://www.digitalsignallabs.com

Hi R B-J, I did a tiny bit of searching for the ol' GlobalDSp website, which perhaps is now "DSPstore". It looks, to me, that they're "algorithms" section of their website, where your material was "published" years ago is "out of business." [-Rick-]

Yeah, I tried searching and didn't come up with anything either. -- % Randy Yates % "Watching all the days go by... %% Fuquay-Varina, NC % Who are you and who am I?" %%% 919-577-9882 % 'Mission (A World Record)', %%%% <yates@ieee.org> % *A New World Record*, ELO http://www.digitalsignallabs.com
