Expert Linker Tool not available for Blackfin in VDSP++ 5.0

Hello, I just downloaded Visual DSP++ 5.0 for the Blackfin and after I
load an example project the Expert Linker->Create LDF is grayed out
under the tools menu. I am able to manually add in a .ldf file but
can't run the linker tool to create an .ldf file. Has anyone
experience this before?
