Hello, I have one question regarding 2, 3 or more reflections and multiple tail circuits. Is the double reflections or three reflections overall can be called as single tail circuit? Or Can we consider 3 reflections as 3 small dispersive regions in a echo path added to form a multiple tail circuit? 1 Reflection can be considered at the hybrid( 2 wire to 4 wire junction). What could be the source of multiple reflections? Regards, Camara |

If you are refering to the multiple tail circuits listed in ITU
Recommendation G.168, these are indeed separate reflections. These represent reflections from multiple hybrids or interfaces. Those listed for North America were actually measured reflections when multiple connections were used to complete a circuit. Other multiple connections can occur in todays environment when subscribers are added to connection to make a 3-way or 4-way conference call, and the conference is not originated from a single source.
