Dear Collegues of the mailing list "imagedsp", Looking through the home page and the messages of this mailing list, I have found that many of you are involved in research in fields such as image and signal processing, wavelets and JPEG2000, and for this reason I am sending You this email. I introduce myself: my name is Eugenio Ballini, and I am a Telecommunication Engineer from the Politechnic of Milan, Italy, and last year I worked on a Master of Science project within the Engineering Department of the University of Aberdeen, Scotland, UK. The main subjects of this project are image compression techniques, with special reference to Wavelets and JPEG2000.
