Can anyone tell me why the 'wavedec' function in the wavelet
toolbox might return approximation coefficients that have the value NaN? I don't know any reason why these coefficients should be anything other than real numbers, and the data that I'm using contains relatively small values, so that the coefficients will always be machine-sized.
