generate random vector with a given joint pdf

Hi all
I am  trying to generate a random vector (3x1) with a given multivariate
probability distribution function. The joint pdf is very similar to Poisson
distribution, but it is not directly convertible to Poisson. 
Any help on this would be highly appreciated.
