matlab to simulink conversion & using DSP Builder...........

Hi all,
I am currently coding some algorithm for DSP Application,(academic
project)...
I am thinking to implement the same algorithm on the DSP Development
Board(EC2C70N)...
I am able to debug the results for my matlab code(.m file)..

As i come to know that to implement onto DSP Development board, it
has to be in "SIMULINK" ...

Is it true?

Is there any other method, from where i can directly dump my .m file
to dsp development..

Representing .m into .mdl (SIMULINK) seems to be little complex...

or Is there any method to convert .m to .mdl... ?
