Problem reprogramming 56F800DEMO board

Started by Bruno Tremblay June 26, 2003
Hi,

I'm trying to reprogram the 56F800DEMO board that I just received with a
simple flashing led application. Most of the time, the download of the
flash.elf does not complete. It's just freeze or a Program load failed
message appear on the screen. If the download succeeds, the application
doesn't start in stand alone or debug. Does the board need a special trick
or should I install a crystal instead of the internal relaxation oscillator?

I also tried the download the bootloader that came with the SDK and the
download box disappear before the bar reaches the end. Noting seem to work.

I use the 805EVM for sometime but I want to use the 801 for smaller
applications.

Thanks

Bruno

Bruno,
There is no special way to download onto the flash of the
board. You should just be able to make your project and download
your project. I have actually seen what you are experiencing and I
am looking into this issue at this time.

Irene
