Don't have to pay - it is included with the SDK. :) (See it in the SDK subdirctory under "\Embedded SDK\src\dsp56805evm\nos\applications\serial_bootloader\" (Actually the DSP is originally delivered with a boot flash that allows download throught the SCI0 port - v1.0 has 19200 bps, v1.1 has 115200 bps. I'm actually developing my own because I need advanced features like CRC checking and own download protocol - but the one included is OK as well.
