Hi all, I'm trying to connect to my 56F827EVM board using the pcmaster, but I seem to get the following error message when running the pcmaster: "Cannot detect the board information ! The communication will be paused." I'm connected to the board using RS232 serial port(for the pcmaster) and the parallel port for debuging. Does anybody have an idea of why this could happen? Thanks in advance, Ari. |

To get PcMaster to run, you need to link it into your application, and
the application must be running. With the parallel port debugger attached,
anytime you hit a breakpoint, or stop the application, the pcmaster interrupt
driven agent will stop communicating. Also, make sure the baudrate in the
application and the PC are the same. The PcMaster agent does not automatically
detect the baudrate. I am using the 807EVM without pcmaster
problems.

What is PC Master? I am connecting to my DSP56F827EVM using the parallel port of the PC with CodeWarrior. It seems to connect (it stops the program running on the board and opens a new window with some assembly) but I haven't gotten much further than this. It's an add on tool provided within the Embedded SDK that communicates to the board via the serial port (is NOT a debugger) and allows you to monitor values via an oscilloscope like display, etc. It controls a downloaded .elf application remotely via the PC and allows you to view real-time application variables, etc. Ron -- CodeWarrior Learning Edition v3 Professional C/C++ and Java programming made easy!
