Re: Where to fing g563c

Started by aqua...@attglobal.net August 15, 2005

you have to look at www.metrowerks.com for suite56. Motorola owns Metrowerks.

Actually, Metrowerks went with Freescale during the spin-off, so they
are no longer associated with Motorola. However, you won't find g563c
there either. The compiler was killed off years ago and hasn't been
available since. If you Google it, you can sometimes find it out in the
vastness of cyberspace, but that's about your only hope...

There is still one hope!! ;-)
Look at my Chameleon development page at http://chameleon.gabiot.com
(see links at bottom page). I have put the g563c source code (because it
is licensed under the GNU GPL terms): it includes the compiler itself
and the debugger. Notice that the compiler does not generates object
code, but assembly code (a great handycap :-( ).
Enjoy.

Yes, there is! :-) I put the version that I have on my homepage.
I dont't know if this version is newer than yours. Your version
seems to come from the 56000 series. May be this Version of the
g56Xc is a bit newer. It seems to be a precompiled version with
binaries for Windows.

How ever, I never tried to use the g563c sice I am programming
the 563xx DSPs in assembler. This is way more fun! ;-)

OK, try this Link:

http://www.trica.de/moto/g563c.zip

... and for some documentation:

http://www.trica.de/moto/g563c-doc.pdf

OK, hope that works. Please can someone give me some feedback if this
compiler works for the 563xx DSPs?

I have downloaded your g563c and yes, it is binary only (there are the
library sources but there aren't the compiler sources that is I need to
compile the compiler un Linux and other unices). Thanks :-)
