Moderation day one...

I don't know if the link you are refering to is the one I just found
here:
http://e-www.motorola.com/webapp/sps/site/homepage.jsp?nodeIdM0ylgz6wY

But if it is, it's located under "External Links", where it should be.

Yes, I thought this was a "Motorola" forum, as per all the others that were
recently formed

I just looked in the Motorola DSP website, and the link to this discussion group
is clearly placed under "External Links". So (to me at least) it's quite
obvious that this discussion group has nothing to do with Motorola, other than
the fact that some Motorola employees may check on messages that are posted here
and answer them when appropriate.

All of you who have been in this discussion group for some time, know that there
have been several postings about Motorola and Metrowerks (some of them from me)
that are not exactly what you would call "glowing endorsements". Certainly if
this group was being censored, those messages would not have made it onto the
group.

You should also know that I have recently had my membership status for the group
motoroladsp changed from Member to Moderator. There are criteria which must be
met by a message, before a Moderator will allow it to go to the group. For
example, there must not be any commercial advertising, trivial questions like
"what is a DSP chip?", etc.

The purpose of this group is to exchange information, solve problems, etc., not
to have a chat room about Motorola or Metrowerks. Although normally the
following message would not have met the criteria for posting to the group, I
made an exception in this case so that you all know where things stand.

You should also know that my nickname here at PMC is "The Pit Bull". You will
find it is well deserved.

So please, keep the postings to non-trivial technical matters only, and we will
all have the maximum benefit from this discussion group. Thanks!
