Has anyone used any of the telephony API in the SDK? If so, how well does it work, is it buggy, general impressions. I don't even know if it will work for my application. I'm being asked to detect tones comming from a PBX. I'm assuming that they are mostly DTMF. Jacob |

CAS/DTMF Detection API

Jacob, I started to use the telephony part of the SDKL before I was moved to a software team (No more DSP at work!). The DTMF seems to work quite well, but I could not get the Caller ID to work. I investigated and found that the frequencies send by the exchange are not according to the BellCore standard (we use ETSI in SA). The other stuff I did was to get the ADC to work, implement filters (LP FIR, Interpolation, Decimation) and experimenting on using the PWM as a DAC. The reason for the last one was so that I can have a single chip solution. The limited time I had (6 months) working with the DSP and telephone API's was very fruitful, but unfortunately there was no implementation of my knowledge in a big project. Hopefully this will help Kind regards Roelof Oelofsen -----Original Message----- From: Jacob Christ [mailto:] Sent: 11 October 2002 01:05 To: Subject: [motoroladsp] CAS/DTMF Detection API Has anyone used any of the telephony API in the SDK?
