Ynt: Can PWM output be used as Output?

Started by Han Cicimen January 6, 2002

Thanks for the help. I have SDK version 2.4. I think I have to order 2.4.1.

1. Can we use fault and current sense inputs as normal input?
2. As far as I know we can use quadrature decoder inputs as normal inputs.
3. Can we use quad timer inputs as normal inputs?
4. Can we use use Can ports as normal IO Lets say Can tx as normal output
and rx as input?
5. What are the possible pins that can be used as I/O ? (ofcourse not the
GPI pins.)

We plan to use DSP56F803 and 807 as microcontroller , so we need I/O. We
can also use 56F826 which has more I/O but it lacks the features or 803 and
807.

Best regards,

Subject: [motoroladsp] Can PWM output be used as Output? We plan use 56F803 and 807 in our applications. I just wonder if we
can use PWM outputs as standart Output? Since the I/O is very limited
with 56F803 we need more I/O. (For LCD, keypad, input and outputs
etc.) As far as I understand Fault pins, current sense pins and
Quadrature decoder pins can be used as ordinary input. Is it correct?

Best regards,

HAN
