Hi All, In RTP payload format for AMR, how is it that the sender side will determine that the frame is severely damaged ? (It is mentioned that if Q bit is not set, then it indicates that the frame is severely damaged and the receiver should set RX_TYPE to SPEECH_BAD or SID_BAD). Will the sender side generate SPEECH_BAD or SID_BAD frames ? Thanks, Harsha |

If you refer to the document 36 TS 26.093 version 3.1.0 Release 1999 ( or

Thanks Vinay But, I would be interested in knowing how TX_TYPE can be SPEECH_BAD or SID_BAD. It is mentioned in the same specification (6 TS 26.093 version 3.1.0 Release 1999 ( or the later version 4.1.)) that TX_TYPE can be SPEECH_BAD or SID_BAD. And that this can be the case with TFO and TrFO situations. But I could not get any information on how TX_TYPE can be SPEECH_BAD or SID_BAD. Also, in the RTP Payload format for AMR, when is it that the payload is severely damaged ? Could it be a result of some problem in the sampling process ? just a wild guess !!
