DOD LPC 10 standar

Started by Eris Ristemena July 19, 1999
ok, nice to know this mail group still working.
I am currently doing a project for my Bsc degree, its about Implementation
of speech coding based on LPC 10 using DSP Processor TMS320C25.
Before i implement the coding scheme using tms320c25 i first simulate it
using MATLAB. However, since i dont have the exact value of some parameters
like Voice/Unvoiced threshold value, or the quantization bit and etc, i
check for every possiblity and see for the maximum result (the quality of
reconstructed speech) .. which i still doubt wheater it is the maximum
result or not ...
So can any you guys help me to find reference about LPC 10 coding scheme
like DOD has or anything ?
thank you

Dear Eric,

You can download the (public domain) C source code for the LPC10
(FS1015) in several sites, as long as other FS standards (CELP FS1016
and MELP FS1017) in:

http://www.plh.af.mil/ddvpc/lpc.htm

When you have the C source code, you can know any parameter of the
coder, and also use it as reference for your implementation.

Some references to articles should be indicated in the comments of the
source code.

I hope this helps,

Dear Eris:

You also can get a MATLAB version (by Andreas Spanias) of the
LPC 10 standard at http://www.eas.asu.edu/~spanias/
