CEVA is the world's leading licensor of DSP cores and platform solutions for vision, audio, communications and connectivity (Wi-Fi and Bluetooth). For more than twenty years, CEVA has been licensing a portfolio of DSPs, platforms and software to leading semiconductor vendors and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) companies worldwide. CEVA's IP portfolio includes comprehensive technologies for communications and connectivity (2G/3G/LTE/LTE-A, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth), computational photography (super resolution, high dynamic range, video stabilizer), and computer vision (gesture recognition, emotion recognition, object recognition), advanced audio and voice processing, Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) and Serial ATA (SATA).
CEVA's DSP Leadership
Headquartered in Mountain View, California, CEVA has more than 230 employees worldwide, with design centers in Israel, Ireland and France, and sales and support offices located in Europe, the U.S. and throughout Asia. CEVA's Customer Base
With more than 250 licensees and 375 licensing agreements signed to date, CEVA's comprehensive customer base includes many of the world's leading semiconductor and consumer electronics companies. Actions, Beken, Broadcom, Celeno, Dialog Semiconductor, DSP Group, Entropic, FujiFilm, Fujitsu, Intel, Leadcore, LG Electronics, Mediatek, MegaChips, Novatek, Nufront, NXP, Renesas, Rockchip, Rohm, Samsung, Sharp, Sigma, Sony, Spreadtrum, STMicroelectronics, Toshiba, VIA Technologies, VIA Telecom, Yamaha and ZTE all leverage CEVA's industry-leading DSP cores and Platform IPs. These companies incorporate our IP into application-specific integrated circuits ("ASICs") and application-specific standard products ("ASSPs") that they manufacture, market and sell to consumer electronics companies.
The CEVA Business Model
The CEVA business model consists of two components; upfront license fees and related revenues; and royalty revenue from every chip sold by our customers incorporating our IP.
CEVA was created through the combination of the DSP IP licensing division of DSP Group, Inc. and Parthus Technologies plc ("Parthus") in November 2002. In 2014, the company acquired RivieraWaves, a privately held French company with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth IP. CEVA is traded on the NASDAQ Global Market (Ticker: CEVA)
