Don Lucas (@DonaldJLucas23)

40 years of power electronics and signal processing design experience using DSPs starting with TI's TMS32010 in 1985 (very first one, as far as I know). Ex-TI employee. Extensive experience designing with what is now called the C2000 family. Power experience from a few watts to 500 kW and pulsed power experience to 120 MJ (TJII stellerator magnetic containment field in conjunction with CERN and fully DSP controlled). 4 granted patents, 4 publications.

Yeah, I play with CIC filters from time to time and Matlab requires that you purchase their fixed point add-in specifically for this filter.  The textbooks that...

Dr. Mike - The CIC filter only works with fixed point math.  Everything that I've read indicates that the algorithm isn't compatible with floating point.  I suspect...

Are you collecting a cycle of data and then generating a response once per cycle (i.e., decimation), or are you using running algorithms that generate a new result...

For those of you who perhaps aren't familiar with power line harmonics, this is not a noise signal floating on top of the desired signal.  The distortions are caused...

You can find an algorithm that has good step response in IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, Vol. 43, No. 1, 2/96, "DSP Control of High-Power UPS Systems...

djmaguire, assuming that you are not talking about using a shielded cable, can you provide a link to this topic?  I did not find any reference in a quick Google...

I've worked with this problem for many years (40+) in active control of power line current or voltage harmonics.  I am not familiar with the "shielded cable algorithm",...
I use Excel daily - my concern was only with the 64-bit version.  I think that Richard has successfully worked around the issues with it by finding the appropriate...
I am not familiar with the process that you are using so I can't help there, but I had a major red flag go up for using the 64-bit version of Excel.  According...
