I got my Ph.D degree at the University of Florida in 1968 and was a professor at the University of Maryland, Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, until my retirement in 1999. I am married and have two sons. In retirement, my wife and I enjoy traveling, ornamental gardening and split our year between Maryland and Florida.
