One usually doesnot compare the different levels of the decompsoed image.They
are usually freqency ranges. What you can do is just measure the frequency
conetent in each level. Apart from that the high pass levels is only edges and
why would someone want to compare it with the approximation level low pass.

hi,
I have a basic doubt regarding image analysis uaing wavelets.
Is it correct to compare the details in one level with the details of
another level (ie., in terms of frequency).As we say details are hich
frequency regions, can we say that a detail at level 2 is higher in
frequency than a detail at level 1.. As i am a begginner to this
subject, kindly someone help me out with this doubt..
