The easy way is to just run the whole shebang through a really low-pass filter, and set a threshold a bit above the baseline. As long as you have a pretty good idea of how big the pulses are, as long as the baseline varies slowly, and as long as the pulse density is pretty constant, this works well. Harder situations demand more elaborate solutions, but you need to make solutions on a case-by-case basis. -- www.wescottdesign.com
