When I started working and was fortunate enough to be around as microprocessors made their first inroads into industry. I designed controllers for industry and mines, including coffee packaging machines, hydrological data monitors, automatic calorimeters, and diamond sorters.
I am Engineering Manager at Emphatec, a Toronto-based design house for industrial control interfaces and signal conditioners. I have written a book – “Excel by Example: A Microsoft Excel Cookbook for Electronics Engineers”, articles for Circuit Cellar, design ideas in EDN and Electronic Design, and blogs for Microcontroller Central, Planet Analog, MCU and PCB Designlines on EE Times, and Embedded.com.
