Marek Klemes (SM-IEEE) was born in Brno, Czech Republic in1958. He obtained his B.A.Sc. (hons) and M.A.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto in 1981 and 1983, respectively, and Ph.D. from Carleton University (Ottawa) in Electronics in 1997. From 1983 to 1996, he was adaptive systems engineer at Canadian Marconi Company (Kanata, ON), He then worked as a senior radio systems engineer at Nortel ( Ottawa, 1996 to 2001), Dragonwave Inc. (Kanata, 2001-2012) and Huawei Canada R&D Center (Kanata, 2012-present) He has 10 patents and published 18 papers.
