More General Real FIR Filters

So far we have looked at the design of linear phase filters. In this case, , and are all real.

Sometimes we may want to design filters and specify both the magnitude and the phase of the frequency response. Examples:

• Minimum phase filters
• Inverse filters
• Fractional delay filters
• Interpolation polyphase subfilters
