Has anyone out there successfully interfaced a CF card (configured in
True IDE Mode) with an Analog Devices' Blackfin BF548 processor via
its ATAPI interface?
Page 24-2 (p.318) in the "ATAPI Interface" chapter of the "ADSP-BF54x
Blackfin Processor Hardware Reference" manual states: "Interface to
compact flash (CF) configured in True-IDE mode". (This, to me, implies
that this interface should simply just work!) =O)
We've tested the interface on three different circuit boards (the
boards are our own design) using three different CF cards (one from
Lexar, SanDisk, and SiliconSystems) and the behavior is all the same;
we get no response back from the CF when trying to read/write any of
the status/control registers.
All of the CF cards have been verified as working, and we see all of
the appropriate address lines and control lines driven from the DSP.
We're supplying 3.3v to the CF, and the power and GND pins are at
their proper voltages with the supply ripple well within the CF
specifications.
Does anyone out there have any suggestions? Is there a configuration
pin on the CF that I'm missing? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!!
