Hi there.
When I make interviews for radio/podcasts I put a headset microphone
and a hard drive recorder on the interviewee. I'm thinking that
it's
quite a waste to only use only one of the two recording channels
available to me.
I'd like to experiment with beamforming. My plan sofar is to build a
headset microphone with two microphone capsules, an inch or so apart.
I'm researching different plastics, microphone wires and capsules for
this part of the project. The other part of the project is to code
some simple beamforming algorithm. I understand that the simple
sum-and-delay strategy doesn't work wonders. What would be the next
step up in complexity? I'm looking for something that doesn't
require
a PhD in math to comprehend.
