Looking for some journals/reports on 'frequency shaping' and 'amplitude compression' for heaing aid

I am working on designing a digital hearing aid as my MSc project. I have already done the simulation part, but for my report I need some stuff on 'Frequency Shaping' and 'Amplitude Compression'.
