need your help big time :)
okies i have this dm648 provided by lyrtech ... and i am planning to design my
customized board from original schematics ... i see it have marvell alaska on
board - and i know marvell people not so friendly in sharing any information .
So if anyone you have any idea about these questions:
1. is the marvell on dm648 specially programmed ? or if i put in another brand
new marvell would it work just like the DM648 marvell?

I have not had problems getting production data sheets from Marvell once
I registered with them. I don't remember if I had to sign an NDA.
Pay attention to the specific part numbers - 'Marvell Alaska' refers to
multiple part numbers.

I *_believe_* that it is an OTS device [OTS=off the shelf]. If you use
another brand new Marvell device with the same part number, it should work.
NOTE: I have NOT used the Lyrtech DM648.
