Actually I got the reply from TI - simply this plugin cannot be
installed on my version of CCS. This means that I have to use the simpler XDAIS
Template Code Generator.

Bye the way, I am new to CCS - how many of you actually use XDAIS
standard? How about IOM drivers and Reference Frameworks? --

That seems strange. Few days back I changed my PC and
reinstalled CCS 2.20, intalled a patch of Ver 2.20.18
on top of it for DM642 EVM. Then I easily installed
XDIAS kit Ver 2.51. Maybe you are missing the DM642
patch.

I have had to use the XDIAS standard for some time
now, but I don't like it much for a couple of things.
One is the restrictions it places on memory
allocation. The ALG interface is quite inadeqate as it
assumes that you know all you heap requrement before
you have even started. That is usually not the case,
especially with video.
I also have problems with the inefficiency and
incompleteness of IDMA2 interface. They need to update
those for more complex algorithms.
