Thanks for all your feedbacks and opinions.
I did some good R&D in this matter and here is what I
have to share:
Spectrum Digital DSP products are sold through Embed
Technologies & Trident Infosol in India. These two
firms are authorised people to perform sales & support
activities on TI tools.
Embed Technologies is a TI third party network member
as well.
All major companies such as Motorola, Lucent, Satyam,
Infosys, Hughes Software (now Flextronics), Mphasis,
BPL Telecom, eInfochips, Honeywell,Tata Elxsi etc...
buy TI DSP tools ONLY from Embed Tech.
Even Texas Instruments (India) buys Spectrum Digital
DSP tools from Embed Tech.
I even found out some of great support facilities
Embed Tech provides as below :
1. Embed Tech provides good discounts than ANY VENDOR,
thereby the tools prices are extremely cost effective.
2. They maintain good stock and are ready to provide
customers with a stand by unit such as a PP emulator,
until the customer ordered products arrive at the
customer's place.
3. A great deal of support is extended in terms of
repair. They have a repair facility in Bangalore. In
all the other vendor cases, the defective products
would have to be returned back to USA for repairs.
Thereby there is a lot of time & money wasted in such
exercises.
4. Technical support in terms of installation, trouble
shooting, development assistance, training etc... is
provided at no extra cost. Training on the tools is
absolutely free and is very handy.
5. Complete transparency: Embed Tech provides complete
transparency in commercial transactions.
All in all, I have found that they are the best people
to deal with when buying TI DSP tools.

Absolutely nothing gets by Bhooshan. Especially if it's in Bangalore. But even if
the Texas equivalent of Arnand (Billy-Joe?) tried that, Bhooshan would still catch it
:-)
