Hello,
I am performing a project to enhance underwater images.
Predominantly in such pictures, the blue color seems to envelop the image.
I have referred a few texts and found out that once i convert the image from rgb
to hsi, i ll need to perform intensity and saturation stretching to enhance the
true color of the image..
unfortunately for me, i am unable to avail any texts on the same subject.
It would be of immense help if you could help me to understand what i am
supposed to do to perform intensity and saturation stretching..
If you feel you require any more information please let me know..
Another question is: I have been performing contrast stretching, but i find that
i need to enter the values of alpha,beta and gamma( the slopes of the piecewise
contrast map). I would be most grateful if someone could tell me if there is
either a way to perform this automatically or a fixed value that i always need
to enter.
