Hi all,Please i am working on a signal that takes the form of a quadratic
function say, for example f(x) = 3x^2 +5x +1. i need to generate the same
signal but with phase shift (i want to introduce phase shift to the function
f(x)). Can some please help me out?

You can shift coordinates as this,
X=x-t,
where t can be regard as phase shift as you metioned.
