hi madan,

The input is linear PCM file with sampling frequency 8kh and each sample
16bit long. Any speech record at 8khz(16bit linear) in linear PCM format
can be used as input insteaded of *.tin.
To record ur speech you can use cool edit pro
software (www.SYNTRILLIUM.com).

Hi Madan,

These input speech files  contain 16 bit linear PCM signals or raw uncompressed digital speech sampled at 8000 samples/sec. U can generate these files yourself by using sound recorder. Record the speech and in the properties save it as PCM 8000 16 bit mono. you will get the desired speech file.Alternately you can also open an existing .wav file and convert it to this format.   ITU-T test files are generated  by keeping different scenarios  in mind and hence our own files may not be that effective in testing the coder.

Regards
Hitesh
