Hello I want to calculate Jitter in a given voice sample. Jitter is the relative evaluation of the period-to-period variability of the pitch within the analyzed voice sample. This is done by extracting the pitch from period to period. Once the pitch data has been extracted it can be plugged into an equation that will compute Jitter. Is there a way in MATLAB, without using Wavelets, to determi...

Hi Guys, Am in need of a solution to convert some inbuilt MATLAB functions into embedded C code. Even ordinary C code is enough. The functions which i want are - filter - fir1 - conv Plz help.... Thanks in advance

Help appreciated. Simple calculation, small matrix, and annoying "out of mem" problem.

Hi guys, I am using Matlab for a solar data statistics project. The aim of the project is to make an automatic unsupervized segmentation of EIT images coming from the SoHO satellite. One of the approaches involves, at some point of the algorithm, to calculate a Mahalanobis distance (generalized dissimilarity distance, popular in multivariate stats). I received the code from a person that de...

I have a question about windowing in MATLAB. So I have a 1 second signal, y1 to which I would like to apply a 24ms hamming window. Within the windowed signal, I want to perform a series of calculations. From what I understand about windows you can simply multiply y1 and the window function to get the windowed signal. I'm curious though is it possible to split that 1sec signal into many (appr...

I m working on the project "wavelet based watermarking". am using the dwt2 function to get the approximation parameter. while doing so.. Iam losing the color of the watermarked image. plzz help me out in obtaining the color component Here is my code.. a=imread('H:\pics\earth_from_space.jpg'); %i=imread('earth_from_space.jpg'); %i=uigetfile( '*.*' , 'select the image'); %[filename1,pat...

Hi every one,   Actually , I studied .... real DFT ?assumes? a mirrored set of negative frequencies due to the fact that the real DFT only ever transforms real time domain signals and never complex ones (thus producing mirrored negative frequencies). then only doubt came into my mind is "whether mirrored negative freq (spectrum)is exactly same as original spectrum."

hi, everybody.....I have a doubt on decimation. If we modulate a say 70 MHz frequency and at the receiver side, we are getting 70.566MHz frequency then upto what limit can we decimate this frequency and what should be the steps to follow?? any suggestion is accepted

hello all, thanks for creating this great group. i look forward for your great help. I am having confusion doing integration of a function f(r) =Integration{ pi* d(r)* a(r)} over r1 to r2 where d is the distance related to r and a is the area also related to r. That is for different value of r, the area 'a' also changes. the integration has to be computed over the distance r1 to r2 ...

Hi every one, % As per theory, if there are real even seq x[n] then it will have Xi(k) img spectrum to become zero % for periodic even xp[n] = xp [- n] ; if L=4=x[n] seq length %? x[-1] =x[1]; x[-2]=x[2] and have to include x[0] additionally % so that the length of the seq becomes odd . i.e., L=5 with x[0] as center point % Instead with?6 given i/p seq x[n] = [1 1 1 1 1 1] % To check for s...

Help. Where it go wrong? Get A N length even symmetric real valued vector ,Fourier transform it and result a spectrum vector with the same length N,which the imaginary part must be zero. In contrast to that, A N length odd symmetric vector should result that the real part of spectrum is zero. But I test and perform it and attain a wrong result. Where it go wrong? Here is matlab script to...
