How to transmit voice_digital_data between two sharc board

Started by ijungga May 19, 2002
Dir everybody.
I would like to make a communication betweem two sharc board
(two adsp21061-ezkit).
How to establish handshaking mode of communication between two sharc
processors using serial port.(real time)
Does anybody have a knowledge of this concept?

The above was my first question.

First of all, thanks for your help.
I understood this concept somewhat via your e-mail.
Now, I'd like to describe my project in detail to get more help.
(I'm starter in DSP ^^;)
I'd like to make a wireless-communication between two Sharc board
(adsp21061-EzKit) via RF Modules (or Bluetooth, and so on).
Is it possible for me to do so? via RF Modules?
Then what kind of RF Modules? Or I have to use Bluetooth? Or How?

It is the key problem of my project how to transmit the
voice_digital_data in wireless between two Sharc in real-time.
Please one more help me.

Sincerely.

Yes, you should be able to transmit and receive using RF modules. You
don't need bluetooth to do that.
If you want both Sharcs to receive and transmit, you need to build RF
transitters and receivers on both ends.
The RF front-end design (including the codecs or A/D and D/As) for
something like this isn't trivial and is a project in itself.

I don't mean to sound condescending, but it looks like you are trying
to do way more than what is realistic for a beginner.

Are you trying to do a Masters thesis or something, or is this a
hobby project, or do you need to do this for your company?
What are you trying to demonstrate with this project?...this kind of
stuff (at the concept level) is already in plenty of applications, so
keep in mind you are trying to rediscover the wheel by starting from
scratch.

Cheers

Thanks for your response and advice.
This project is my bachelor thesis (graduation work).
I know that this project is non-creative.
But, I wanted to know the theory of cellular phone via this work.
If you know well about this project, please tell me in more detail.
( Dont you like this for bachelor thesis?
Then, what concept is good for bachelor thesis and starter?
Where I can find something about the applications of ADSP for
bachelor thesis)
I hope more advice from you. Thank you.

Sincerely.

No, I don't think this is bachelor thesis material. The project you
are trying to do can take you a very long time (6 months - 1 year) to
build (and that is assuming you know *how* to do it). The amount of
theory involved in how a cell phone works is fairly large and it is a
lot more than Masters material.
What is your DSP background? Have you taken a course on the basics?
If so, you can try implementing some simple projects like an audio
spectrum analyzer, or just a simple low pass filter that has a
variable cut off frequency. You will learn a lot of concepts involved
in real implementation by doing this.
For more ideas, do a search in Google groups. There are plenty of
other people who have asked similar questions and there are a great
variety of suggestions.

I'd also like to remind you that there are 2 sides to a succesful DSP
project. One is the signal processing theory behind what you are
trying to do (system design). The other is your knowledge and ability
to work with both hardware and software to implement this design (a
computer architecture course to learn about processors and digital
hardware and basic computer programming course is a must for
background) Cheers
